You said We did! |

Dear Residents,
Over recent weeks, many of you have taken the time to speak with me about concerns around speeding in our villages. I really appreciate those conversations, and I want to reassure you that we are listening. While this is, unfortunately, a common issue across Dacorum and we cannot be everywhere at all times, we are doing what we can to address it. Today, with the support of PC 504 Broom, we carried out speed checks in Chipperfield. I’m pleased to share that all vehicles recorded were travelling within the speed limit, which is encouraging and shows what a positive difference responsible driving can make. Keeping our villages safe is something we can all play a part in. Simple actions, such as checking your speed, parking considerately, and being courteous to others on the road, all help to make a real difference to the safety and quality of life in our community. Over the summer months, we will continue to carry out similar checks across South Hemel Hempstead. As the weather improves, we also see more people enjoying our rural lanes, including horse riders and cyclists. I know we all lead busy lives, but I would kindly ask everyone to take a little extra care — please slow down, give plenty of space, and pass wide when it is safe to do so. Thank you for your continued support. I wish you all a safe and enjoyable summer.
Paul
